Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submission Guidelines

  1. Originality: Submissions must be the author(s)’ original work and should not have been published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Manuscript Length: Articles should typically range between 4,000 and 5,000 words, including references, tables, and appendices.
  3. Format: Manuscripts should be formatted using the APA (7th edition) style for citations and references. Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx), using Times New Roman, 12-point font and double spacing.
  4. Abstract: Each submission must include an abstract of 200–300 words that succinctly summarizes the objectives, methodology, key findings and contributions of the study.
  5. Keywords: Provide 4–6 keywords that represent the main themes of the manuscript.
  6. Author Information: Include the name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation(s), and contact information on a separate title page to facilitate the double-blind review process. Do not include any identifying information within the manuscript itself.
  7. Language: All submissions must be written in clear, concise and grammatically correct English.

 

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and scholarly rigor. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments before final acceptance.

Ethical Considerations

MJAMS adheres to the highest standards of academic integrity. Authors must ensure that their work is free of plagiarism and that all sources are appropriately cited. Ethical approval must be obtained for studies involving human or animal subjects and this must be explicitly stated in the manuscript.

Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the journal’s email address: [mjams@madonnauniversity.edu.ng]. Authors will receive an acknowledgment of receipt within seven working days.

Copyright and Publication Policy

Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a copyright agreement granting MJAMS the right to publish the manuscript. Authors retain the right to use their work for educational and professional purposes with due acknowledgment of the journal.
